Su objetivo es mejorar las capacidades de los becarios para contribuir al desarrollo de su país. Préstamos del Fondo Panamericano Leo S. Rowe Gala Díaz Langou, Summary: El Fondo Panamericano Leo S. Rowe ayuda a ciudadanos de países latinoamericanos y del Caribe a financiar estudios superiores en universidades acreditadas de los Estados Unidos a través de préstamos sin interés. El préstamo (máximo USD15 000) ayuda a cubrir gastos relacionados con los costos de estudios en los Estado Unidos, como matrícula, emergencias, manutención u otros gastos no cubiertos por la principal fuente de ingreso del postulante. No hay fecha límite de entrega. Las solicitudes son recibidas y evaluadas todo el año y durante el transcurso de los estudios en los Estados Unidos del postulante. Docentes, investigadores, y profesionales también son elegibles para acceder a los fondos para programas de intercambio, cursos de desarrollo profesional o educación continua que dure al menos un semestre académico. Los préstamos se otorgan bajo el entendimiento que, una vez finalizados sus estudios, los beneficiarios se comprometen a pagar el préstamo en su totalidad y regresar a sus países de origen para aplicar sus conocimientos y entrenamiento; así como continuar promoviendo el intercambio cultural y el desarrollo de la región.
